This kit has pre-made fixed length wires that have 2.54 mm connectors on one end and 1.25 mm connectors on the other. This is good in that you dont need a crimping tool to use them. On the other hand, the wires are fixed length and you must have a need for a cable that has different sized connectors on each end. You cant make a cable with 2.54 mm on both ends, for example. I have uses for being able to make this transition, so this kit is good for me. The kit comes with a variety of housings to choose from when assembling a multi wire connection and tweezers to help populate them.
